Tyler, Texas nearest Kitesurfing fix?

Hi



I have been invited to visit a friend in Tyler, near Dalllas, Texas.

My question is :- are there any inland lakes close by that are regularly kitesurfed? (is it worth taking my quiver)

If not, how far / where is the next best place to kite?



Failing that are there any other watersports/things to do in the vicinity?
